 2007 Apprentice of the Year
Timothy Stokes - Cert IV in Aero skills (Mechanical)

Tim is currently a 2nd year working towards his Cert IV in Aero skills (Mechanical) while being hosted by Tadgell Aviation Services at Caloundra. Tim commenced a School Based Traineeship in 2004 with Acclaim Apprentices and Trainees completing a Cert II in Aero skills. Tim has a natural ability when it comes to working with mechanical equipment and diligently applies himself to each new learning opportunity that has been presented to him.
During recent months Tim has been rebuilding a Bell 47 Helicopter on his own under the guidance of Graham Tadgell, from ordering parts to assembling.
Tim attends QIAE for his theory modules and is also sitting CASA (Civil Aviation Safety Authority) exams to gain a license in the aviation industry to further his career. Tim is another of Rosslyn Whittal successful candidates.

Chantel Flaherty -
Cert II in Community Pharmacy

Chantel recently completed her Cert II in Community Pharmacy hosted by Auscare Pharmacy at Chancellor Park. Chantel is continuing her study by undertaking a Cert III in Dispensary to further enhance her career prospects. Chantel has benefited greatly from her training by the Pharmacy Guild of Qld becoming more efficient in her skills and customer service responsibilities upholding the customers’ privacy as a priority. Positive responses in Chantels monthly appraisals from her host have also been of a very high standard. Chantel as part of the team at Auscare have regular Fun Raiser days supporting various charity groups in the community.

Callum Adamson - Cert II in Automotive Mechanical

Callum has been employed by Sunshine Toyota at Currimundi as a school based trainee since April 2006 doing a Cert II in Automotive Mechanical. Callum attends Beerwah SHS. Callum has constantly strived to learn and enhance his skills. He has consistently impressed management, staff and his ETC Rosslyn Whittal by his enthusiasm and performance towards his work. He has always been punctual and has proved himself to be very reliable, trustworthy, a good listener, interacts well with others in the workplace and follows instructions.

 2007 School Based Trainee of the Year
Gyan Lang - Cert III in Business Administration
Hosted by: Beerwah State High School
Gyan has been a tremendous asset to her host employer Beerwah State High School, showing initiative and confidence beyond her level of experience. Gyan learns rapidly and demonstrates a very high level of competence in all aspects of her role. Completing her Cert III in Business Administration, Gyan is also School Captain and studying for an OP. 2008 sees Gyan having time off to work and travel overseas. Her goal is to gain a university qualification in either Law/Business (Communication) or Secondary education in drama starting in 2009.
