When your child becomes an apprentice or trainee outside of Acclaim, chances are that they are truly on their own. The quality of their experience is largely up to the tradesperson or business to which they are attached. Any issues of quality, safety, termination of employment etc. rests on their own shoulders.
Acclaim Apprentices and Trainees take a position of "pastoral care" with employees, that means they are actively engaged in helping your child in all areas of their work experience during training.
The Field Representative (FR) responsible for your child is available for support at all times. We have helped to sort many issues in the past, such as attitude, transport, host employer problems and simple motivation!
Perhaps the greatest advantage of employment through Acclaim is the ability to move from one host to another, should circumstances cause them to lose employment during training. This takes the stress of losing your job as an apprentice due to unforeseen circumstance (ie closure of the host business) away from the training experience.
